Night work on Belgrave Street at Manly – starting Monday 11 February 2013

Between The Esplanade and Raglan Street

Downer EDI, on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), is planning road maintenance work on Belgrave Street between The Esplanade and Raglan Street at Manly.

Work is scheduled to commence on Monday 11 February 2013 and is expected to be completed by Friday 8 March 2013, weather permitting. Approximately five night shifts will be required to complete this work.

This essential work involves repairing selected concrete slabs and resurfacing of asphalt to provide a stronger, more durable road surface, improving road safety.

Work will be done at night from 8pm and 5am between Sundays and Fridays to minimise traffic impacts and there will be partial lane closures during these general working hours to create a safe working area. This work is noisy, however every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on residents, including efficient scheduling work at different locations each night shift.

During this work, motorists are asked to follow the signs, including reduced speed limits, and to follow the direction of traffic controllers. Minor delays are expected due to changed traffic conditions.

RMS and its contractor Downer EDI apologise for any inconvenience this night work may cause and appreciate the patience of residents and motorists.

For further information please contact Downer EDI Community Relations on 1300 776 069 or email CommunityRelations.PSMC@downerediworks.com.au, or the Transport Management Centre on phone 131 700 after hours. For information about scheduled road work please view the Live Traffic app or visit www.livetraffic.com.
